The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

Since I graduated from Penn State in 1961 I joined the Air Force later that year but was medically discharged in November. Early in 1961, I joined Cities Service Oil Company in Philadelphia in the accounting field. In 1964 I joined their computer department as an operator. I stayed till 1972 when the company decided to move their offices to Tulsa, Oklahoma. I then joined Ship & Shore, Inc. located in Chester, PA. (for a cup of coffee!). I left them later that year because they had inept management. I then joined Food Fair Corp., located on 30th St., Philadelphia, PA. I stayed with them as an operator till they, also decided to move their business offices to Florida in 1979. I then joined the Pennsylvania Hospital, in Philadelphia as a computer operator, and stayed till 1993 when I retired. I left the Philadelphia area and moved and bought a house in Elizabethton, Tennessee. My sister, Dorothy was located in a nearby town, Johnson City. Both towns are located in the northeast corner of Tennessee. Though Tennessee is quite attractive, the summers are quite hot and humid. Finally, in 2003, I decided I had had enough of the hot summers and decided to find a place with a cooler climate. I visited New York and found my present place in Jamestown, which I bought. I stayed up here the summer of 2003, moved temporarily back to Tennessee where I sold my place there in 2004.
